Part of the deal Ella made with the GWR editor about printing the translated “Imprisonment is for Burning” was that it would be on forest responsible paper. Unfortunatly this declared commitment did not make it into the book itself, so here it is, as well as the accreditation of the printer’s investment in drinking water projects in rural Laos and a hydroelectric dam next to a nature reserve in the Congo. Ella would like to make it known that dams are very questionable when it comes to ‘green energy’, having to flood regions of land that would normally be happily capturing CO₂ and using vast amounts of extracted resources. This and the single use plastic to wrap every copy of the book, Ella had no previous say in, and here reiterates their message; that we are all trying our best, yet their wish is to prioritise the protection of the nature we have left, and regenerate what has been destroyed. Healthy ecosystems stabilise the climate more directly than any quantitified carbon trading does!
